Which BANGTEL property did BACH at?!

Why did you pick this location?

We had planned to have a Bachelor/Bachelorette party back home in Chicago because we definitely wanted to be different from all the crazy NashBashes where we currently live. I spotted this bright pink, wild BANGTEL pad and I knew, this was going to be a weekend to remember! 😜 🎉

What did you love about ALOHA 2.0 after you checked in?

We were thankful for our little gift, but we mostly thought the space was wonderful as is! So many hair dryers and fun bedrooms to choose from that it didn't need a whole lot.

Was there a weekend itinerary? If so, please share in detail!

My Maid of Honor planned a whole slew of events. We all met at Aloha 2.0, having flown from all over the country and the world to be there! I had 2 friends from San Diego, 2 from Seattle, 2 from New York, 1 from London and the rest live in Chicago. We started by getting all decked out in tropical 70's disco attire complete with hair and make up to match.  👯‍♀️

There were photos by the flower power wall that the MOH had cut out and put up using wall putty to make sure it came off cleanly. We then started off with a cocktail making challenge where all the ladies had to make a cocktail that they think I would have liked the best. There was a "Beer Pong" challenge game where instead of drinking beer when you got a cup, everyone had to do cute challenges like put on 70’s temporary tattoos, take a photo on a disposable camera 📸, or start a dance party! One of the dance parties had to be to Dancing Queen by ABBA or it wouldn't be a 70s party, of course. 🕺🏽💃🏻

Another little game had Jenga with little questions on them so everyone could get to know each other better. Of course, one of the best parts was a little sip and paint that my MOH set up for us where we all chose feminist icons to paint like AOC, Jane Jacobs, Frida Kahlo, and RBG! After gifts were exchanged and sobbed over, we went to the Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club where we met with the bachelor party. Such a riot to join forces to play games and have unlimited cocktails! 🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹

The next day, my MOH and sister joined forces to bring a yoga instructor to the Aloha for some recovery flow. It was much needed! Then, we took the ladies to the Bridal Shower hosted at my mom's house. She invited her friends, my extended family, and my fiance's family too. This was all about flower power! We made flower crowns🌸 and ate matching floral cupcakes. My sister planned the event and creatively coordinated every detail. Instead of gifts, everyone brought their favorite romance novel to share with me, so one of the activities was writing date ideas on little floral bookmarks.

After the shower, we were thoroughly exhausted so we went back to the Aloha 2.0, ate pizza, picked up Jeni's from across the street and watched one of my favorite rom-coms, Serendipity.

Any tips for future Bachelorettes on how to throw the best Bach party?

Planned activities are definitely the best, especially when your wedding party hasn't spent much time together like mine! Everyone can break the ice, and by the end of the time, they are fast friends. 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

Any weekend bloopers?

Drunk me was pretty upset to have dropped my paintbrush on my feminist icon's face, but after seeing the result the next day, I'm pretty impressed with myself. Also, my fiance and I were showing off some major PDA at Royal Palms and one of the gals got some pretty ridiculous photos of us nearly falling over.

Bachelorette's crew drink of choice for the weekend?

At the Shuffleboard club, nearly all of us had this gin lavender cocktail that had a really long name, but we referred to it as the Pigeon. "Barkeep, I'll have another pigeon please." We thought we were hysterical.
